DIRECTIONS:     Join the M50 motorway heading in the direction of Malahide on the R139.   

 

From the M1 North after the Airport Junction get into the correct lane and follow the signs for Malahide on the R139.

From the South and West on nearing the airport get into the correct lane and follow the signs for Malahide on the R139.   

 

Continue on this road to the major junction with lights which crosses the Malahide Road.  You will have the Hilton Hotel on your left.   Continue through this junction on the R139.

 

Keep on this road for approx. 4 kms, passing through 3 roundabouts.   The road will become the R809 (Grange Road).   Approx 3 kms along this road you will pass an Applegreen Service station, you will then pass St. Laurence O Toole Church following which on your right there are a number of shops including LIDL.    

 

Not far past these you will see a sign indicating a left turn for the R809 for Howth and Portmarnock.   At these lights turn left and follow the road to the T junction at the end which is facing the Church.   Turn right at this junction and take the next left onto the R106 coast road to Howth.    

 

Keep straight on this road, pass over the Dart Rail line and the Rugby Club is just down a bit on the right.
